Airtel adds over 10 million 5G subscribers in India

Indian mobile operator Bharti Airtel has announced that it has reached the milestone of 10 million unique 5G users on its network.

Airtel launched its 5G services in India in October 2022. In November last year, Airtel also set a record of having one million unique subscribers on its network within 30 days of its commercial launch. Airtel was the first Indian operator to do so.

Bharti Airtel CTO Randeep Sekhon said, “It is still in the early stages, but we are excited by the response from our customers. Airtel is committed to developing a network that provides affordable and sustainable connectivity to the maximum number of customers. With state-of-the-art 5G infrastructure, strong partner network, we are providing excellent 5G Plus service to customers across the country.”

Similarly, Airtel has also reported that its 5G Plus network has expanded to all Indian states.

The company has demonstrated 5G capabilities in the last one year. It will change both the lives of customers and the way businesses operate. The company has set up India’s first live 5G network in Hyderabad. The company has also created a 5G experience zone in all its retail stores.
