Temperature reached 40 degrees in Jhapa, schools closed

Jhapa. Due to extreme heat in Jhapa, some local levels have decided to close schools. Mechinagar municipality has decided to close schools for two days and Kachankawal rural municipality for five days. Both rural municipalities have issued notices about this.

Kachankawal has decided to stop teaching for five days from today to June 22. It is mentioned in the notification issued by the chief administrative officer of the school, Heerakumari Yadav, that the school has been closed due to the interruption of the academic year due to summer vacation.

From today, all the community schools of that village have been instructed to close.

Similarly, Mechinagar Municipality has also decided to close community, religious and institutional schools for two days due to the heat, informed Homanath Bhandari, Head of Education Branch.

The maximum temperature in Jhapa on Wednesday was 40 degree Celsius.
